Sunshine, writing.

The weather this week has been so incredible....it makes me think of "Spring Cleaning" at my house when I was a kid. Instead of cleaning my apartment (which desperately needs some TLC, now that I think of it....) I've become SUPER productive and am writing up a storm!! I got in touch with tons of friends/colleagues I've written music with before, and some new collaborators, and some freelance projects.......and I'm all revved up to get some tracks placed! I'm working on a really cool project with this poet -- a really sweet retired (I think) guy who has written a TON of poetry-- with the help of my favorite writing partner in crime Mr. D'Angelo I've been turning his poetry into mini-songs. He's working on a film project and a ton of other stuff too, so we might be doing the score for his soundtrack as well....I just love keeping busy and working with cool people. I'll keep you posted on all the cool collabs I'm doing and post stuff (if I can) as I finish it!!

'Til then.....please enjoy this video of my sister Michelle trying to find the perfect scratching spot on our adopted chihuahua/jack russel mix and the love of my life, Mia.

The Bitter End...Onward & Upward!!

What a week!! I'm finally home in bed (thanks to this lovely weather) enjoying a minute of peace and quiet and maybe, just maybe some sleep tonight!!!

Last night's show at The Bitter End went really, really well!! I ran into some old friends from high school (one of whom was kind enough to get some action shots of me & the boys!) and got to spend time with family & some of my closest friends from college and NYC and beyond....I am so thankful for my amazing support system. My uncle Joe came out after the show to hang with a bunch of my friends at the re-opening of a fave bar from my Fordham days, Lincoln Park, and remarked that it made him happy to see that despite the fact that I am living in this big scary city, I have some real, true friends who are there for me and take care of me. It made me tear up a little to hear that....I really am blessed in the friends and loved ones department.

The boys were pretty on point at the show-- I'm VERY happy with the way our sound is developing, and looking forward to many more AMAZING performances ! The horn section was such a cool addition--- also hoping to do that again. Phil & Rob rocked it!!

I'll be spending the next month networking my little butt off, setting up shows (and hopefully some festivals...tours?), submitting stuff for placements, writing, collaborating.....GRINDING AWAY because everything I have been working for is so close, I can taste it.

Look out world.....here I come.

xx
